Nobody can read someone else's chats from the chat itself. Owners and administrators can read any Office chat conversation on Review conversations — and every look is recorded.
Open it
- In Office chat, press ⋮ at the top of the list › Review conversations, or
- Settings › Communication › Office chat › Review conversations.
Read a conversation
The list on the left has every conversation in your company — one-on-one chats, groups and the automatic branch groups. Search the words of every conversation at the top. Pick one to read it on the right.
It is read-only: nothing you do here sends a message, marks anything as read or changes anybody's ticks.
Messages someone deleted for everyone still show here, marked Deleted by the person who deleted them, with the date and time — until your keep limit (Settings › Communication › Office chat).
Looks recorded
Every time someone opens the list, searches it or opens a conversation, it is recorded: who, which conversation, and when. Looks recorded shows that list to every administrator.
Every chat shows Messages are company records., so your team knows.
