Each person decides how they hear about things; whoever manages the team decides what they may hear about. Both live on the person's Notifications tab.
The switches
Each row is one kind of notification, in plain words (New lead, Customer replied, Deposit paid…), grouped. Each group has an all row that switches the whole group.
| Column | What it does |
|---|---|
| On | They may hear about it. |
| App | In the bell, in MoveBoard. |
| By email. | |
| Text | By text message. |
| Only mine | Only when the order or account is theirs. It moves only while On is on. |
Switching a row off takes its channels and Only mine with it.
Set someone's notifications
- Open Settings › Users & permissions › Users and click the person.
- Pick Notifications.
- Switch the rows and columns you need.
- Press Save. What you save replaces their list.
You can also do this from Settings › Users & permissions › Notifications, which lists everyone — see Staff notifications.
Your own notifications
Everyone can open their own Notifications tab from My profile, and choose App, Email and Text from the gear in the bell's drawer — see Notifications.

- Staff emails are off for the company (its “New email notification” template is inactive), so no one gets them.
- Staff texts are off for the company (texting is off or its “New sms notification” template is inactive), so no one gets them.
Where a new person's notifications come from
From their positions: Settings › Users & permissions › Notifications › Defaults by position — see Notification settings for your team. Their department sets only their permissions, and moving someone to another department does not change their notifications. When their positions change, this tab offers Apply the defaults for ….
