On this page
Click a person on the Users page and their window opens. The tabs run down the left (on a phone, a strip of chips across the top). Nothing in the window saves by itself: change what you need on any tabs, then press Save once.
The tabs
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Details | Name, dates, department, User Type, Position, Additional Responsibilities, Branches, the Active switch, the login and password, contact details and an emergency contact. |
| Integration | Their email, Google Calendar and RingCentral connections, and their Email Setup and Google Calendar Integration. See Connections. |
| Permissions | What they may see and do in this branch — see How permissions work. |
| Notifications | What they hear about and how — see Notification preferences. |
| Auto Assignment | Which new leads go to them automatically — see Lead assignment rules. |
| Signature | The card customers see and the signature on documents — see Signature and contact. |
| Payroll | Rate & Commission Settings — see Pay rates per person. |
| Time off | For foremen, drivers and helpers: days they asked off — see Staff time off. |
| Claims | For crew members: the damage claims on jobs they worked in the last two years, with their score. |
| Logs | Their sign-ins and every change to their record, newest first. |
Who sees which tabs
- Permissions, Auto Assignment and Logs show only to someone who manages employees.
- Notifications shows to a manager, and to the person on their own record.
- Time off needs the Can see Dispatch Tab permission and shows only for someone with a Foreman, Driver or Helper position.
- Claims needs Can see Claims Tab and shows only for crew members.
- An administrator's Permissions tab is closed — they may do everything.
- Someone with no office position and no additional responsibility (for example a helper) has only Details, Payroll and Logs open; the other tabs are greyed with For someone with an office position or an additional responsibility. Field staff connect no mailbox or phone line, so Integration is closed for movers and foremen too. A foreman's Permissions tab stays open.
Details in short
- The top line shows the Employee ID, a Secondary Employee Id you can type, the Creation Date and the Active switch.
- Termination Date, Driver's License and Social Security Number are kept here too.
- Include user in sales performance dashboard decides whether their sales count on the sales dashboard.
- The ZIP code fills the city, state and country — To change city or state - enter Zip Code.
- Changing the Department asks Do you want to use the department's default permissions? — Yes replaces their permissions with the department's when you save; No keeps theirs. Their notifications are not touched (they come from the position).
Save, Cancel and leaving
The footer is the same on every tab. Save lights up only when something really changed, and saves every changed tab together. You see Saved. when it's done, and the list behind updates at once.
Cancel, the × and Esc close the window. If something is unsaved, MoveBoard asks Discard changes? — Keep editing or Discard.
Your own record
Anyone can open their own window from My profile in the menu under their name. You can change your details, your password (Change my password), your mailbox and your signature card. You can't change your own user type or switch yourself off.
If something goes wrong
If a tab can't be saved, the footer names the problem and opens that tab — for example Invalid phone number, ZIP format: 12345, Postal format: A1A 1A1, An address needs a city and a ZIP code. or Phone extension must be a string of up to 5 digits. Nothing is half-saved by a refused check.
