Team & permissions
Who sees which orders
Your own orders, unassigned ones, everyone's — the two switches that decide which orders a person can find and open, and the exceptions.

Every order belongs to a salesperson — or to nobody yet. Two permissions decide which of them a person can see.
The four combinations
| Can see unassigned orders | Can see other user's orders | They see |
|---|---|---|
| off | off | Only orders assigned to them |
| on | off | Their own, plus orders with no salesperson |
| off | on | Every order that has a salesperson |
| on | on | Every order |
"See" means everywhere: the orders list, search, counts, the dashboard, the Calendar, reports, Ed's answers, and opening an order by its link. An order a person isn't allowed to see doesn't show up, and opening it directly is refused with You do not have access to this order.
The exceptions
- Administrators see every order.
- Dispatchers always keep both switches on — MoveBoard turns them on when someone with the Dispatcher position is saved, so they see every job.
- Account managers can open the orders of business accounts they manage, even when those orders are assigned to someone else.
- Branches — an order filed under a branch a person doesn't work in never opens for them, whatever their switches (administrators work in every branch).
- Archived orders are hidden from everyone except administrators, who see them only by picking Archived in the Status filter.
Accounts
Business accounts follow the same idea with one switch: Can see other user's accounts shows every account; without it a person sees only the accounts they manage.
Typical set-ups
- A salesperson who works only their own leads — both switches off. New leads reach them by your assignment rules or by someone assigning them.
- A salesperson who picks up new leads — Can see unassigned orders on, so they can see and take leads nobody owns yet.
- A manager or customer service — both on.
Change it
- Open Settings › Users & permissions › Users and click the person.
- Open Permissions and find the two switches.
- Press Save. It applies on their next click.
To give one order to someone, assign it — see Assign a lead.
