Storage
Time in storage over the maximum
MoveBoard warns you when a stay in storage runs longer than the maximum number of months you allow.

Your facilities can set the longest stay you allow. When an order's time in storage goes past it, MoveBoard warns you — it never stops you.
Where the maximum comes from
- For a facility: Max duration of storage stays in Settings › Storage › Facilities (the facility's Stays and free months).
- For one order: Max months in storage in the order's Storage Charge pop-up, under Show price increases and free months.
The two warnings
When you change the move date of a moving-and-storage day and the new date makes the stay longer than the maximum, MoveBoard asks:
> The time in storage is more than the maximum allotted number of months for a storage tenant from your current settings. Do you wish to proceed?
Yes Proceed keeps the new date; Don’t Proceed leaves the date as it was.
On the order's Storage card, a stay already longer than the maximum shows a line in amber, for example "More than the 6-month maximum in your storage settings."
What to do
Nothing is blocked. Agree the longer stay with the customer, or change the dates. If you allow longer stays, raise Max months in storage on the order (or the facility's maximum for future quotes).
