Inventory
Inventory changes and the truck
A customer's bigger inventory makes the job longer — the order keeps its truck unless the longer job now runs into another booked job on it.

When a customer adds items, the job gets longer. MoveBoard keeps the order on its truck — unless the longer job now runs into another job on the same truck.
The rule
When the customer saves a bigger inventory, MoveBoard works out the job's new length and checks the truck:
- It still fits — the order keeps its truck. Nothing else changes on the schedule.
- It now runs into another booked or reserved job on that truck (your overlap allowance included) — only that truck is taken off the order, the same way the office's "remove from truck" does. Other trucks on the order stay.
Only booked and reserved jobs count as a clash, and only on the same truck. A clash with a lead on the same truck doesn't take the truck off.
Who hears about it
The order's salesperson, in the same bell notice that says the customer finished their inventory: Dana finished the inventory: 42 items, 610 cu ft; the job no longer fits on Truck 2, so it was taken off. The order's log records the truck being removed too.
What to do
- Open the order and look at the new length of the job.
- Pick another truck, another start time or another day — see Schedule date and truck.
- Tell the customer if their time changes.
Why only on a clash
Taking a truck off every time an inventory changed would undo dispatch's work for a few boxes. Keeping it on despite a clash would double-book the truck. So MoveBoard does the one thing in between.
How much two booked jobs may overlap on a truck is set in Settings › Sales & orders › Booked jobs overlap — see Booked jobs overlap rules.
Changes made in the office
When you change the inventory yourself in the office and SUBMIT, the truck stays as it is — check the schedule yourself if the job got much bigger.
