Lead scoring points

Give points to what customers do so the busiest leads rise to the top — and use the score in a workflow's conditions.

Lead scoring adds points to a lead every time the customer does something — opens your email, signs in to their portal, changes their inventory. You set how many points each action is worth.

The full guide to reading and setting the score is Lead score. This page covers the setup in short and how to use the score in your automation.

Set the points

  1. Open Settings › Sales & orders › Lead scoring.
  2. Switch on Enable Lead Scoring.
  3. Under Lead Temperature, set when a lead turns WARM and when it turns HOT.
  4. Under Customer actions, type the points for each action, and switch off the ones that shouldn't count.
  5. Press Save.

Points only come from what the customer does — nothing the office does, and no automatic message, adds points. Points never go down.

Use the score in a workflow

Lead score is a condition in every workflow's Only if (under Flags & score), compared with is more than, is less than or is between.

Examples:

  • Hot lead alert — When the customer changes their inventory → only if Lead score is more than your HOT number → Tell a teammate: the sales rep.
  • Quiet lead nudge — 3 days after the order was created → only if Lead score is less than 20 and the status is New → send a friendly text.

See Only if: conditions.
