AI in MoveBoard
Services we don't do
Tell the AI receptionist what you don't do (hoisting, pianos up too many stairs, your own list), close an order as Can't provide service, and see how much business you turn away.

Some jobs you just don't do — hoisting a couch through a window, carrying a piano up four flights, moving a hot tub. List them once and your AI receptionist tells callers politely, offers to help with the rest of the move, and every ask shows up in a report so you can see what you're turning away.
Set your rules
- Go to Settings › AI receptionist › Estimates & leads.
- In Services we don't do, choose: - Hoisting — Offered, Not offered, or Only up to floor and the highest floor. - Pianos without an elevator — No limit, or Up to and the number of flights of stairs. With an elevator a piano is always fine. - Other services we don't do — type one short line per service (for example Hot tubs or Gun safes over 500 lb) and press +. Each line is one service in the report.
- Press Save.
Each branch has its own rules. A new company starts with everything offered, so nothing changes until you fill this in.
What the receptionist does
When a caller mentions a piano, hoisting or one of your listed services, she asks what she needs (the floor, whether there's an elevator, how many flights of stairs) and checks your rule. If it's over your limit she says, kindly, that it's a service you don't provide — she never promises it — and asks if they'd like help moving everything else.
- Yes: she carries on with the estimate as usual. The order gets a note like "Asked for hoisting from 3rd floor — told we don't provide it (AI receptionist)."
- No: she asks for their name and ZIP code so the request is on file, and the order is closed as Can't provide service with that service as the reason. If they'd rather not say, the order is made with just the number they called from (named Caller), so every ask still counts in the report and you can call back. No welcome email or text goes out.
Close an order by hand
- Open the order and press the status button.
- Pick Can't provide service.
- Choose Which service? — your list, or Other with a few words. For hoisting or a piano you can add the floor or the flights.
- Press SAVE.
The trucks are freed, the Order Log and a note say which service, and the customer's portal reads Request closed. Can't provide service is one of the lost statuses.
The report
Reports › Services We Don't Do shows, for the dates and branch you pick:
- Asks — every time a customer asked for something you don't do.
- Orders lost — orders still closed as Can't provide service.
- Rest of the move booked — customers who heard no but kept the rest of the move.
- Estimated lost value — the lost orders' quotes.
The table breaks it down by service. Click a number to see the orders behind it. If one service keeps coming up, that may be business worth taking on.
You can also ask Ed: "How many people asked for hoisting this month?"
