Every conversation with Ed is kept so you can come back to it, and so your company can see what was asked and done.
Your conversations
- Open Ed and expand him, or press Show chats.
- Chats lists your conversations, newest first, each named after its first question. Use Search conversations to find one.
- Press one to open it. New chat starts a fresh one.
Conversations with Ed are kept here for a year. After 12 months they're deleted by themselves. Anything Ed did to an order stays in that order's own log.
You can delete a conversation of your own with Delete this conversation.
Administrators can read the team's
A company administrator sees Mine and Team above the list. Team chats shows the conversations of everyone in the company. They open read-only: an administrator can read what was asked and answered, and what cards were confirmed, but can't continue a colleague's chat or press their cards.
Let your team know their Ed conversations can be read by administrators.
What Ed can see
Ed works with your permissions, nothing more:
- Only the orders, customers and accounts you can open — see Who sees which orders.
- Only the reports and numbers your permissions allow — for example, income figures need Can see Income Report.
- Payroll only with the payroll permissions.
If you ask about something you can't see, Ed says he can't answer it.
What's kept with each question
Each question and answer is kept with who asked, when, and what Ed looked up to answer — so an answer can always be checked.
Ed and your customers
Ed works only for your staff in the office. Customers never talk to Ed; the AI on your phone and website chat is the AI receptionist — see The AI receptionist.
