If your jobs live in a spreadsheet, a paper diary or on a whiteboard, MoveBoard gives each one a proper order — and gives your crew, customers and office the same up-to-date picture.
Your upcoming jobs from a spreadsheet
Put one job per row with headings in the first row. MoveBoard understands common names, so these headings are matched by themselves:
| Heading | What to put |
|---|---|
| Move Date | The date, for example 10/15/2026 (required). |
| First Name, Last Name (or Name) | The customer. |
| Phone | Their mobile number (required). |
| Their email. | |
| Origin Address, Destination Address | Full addresses, or From Zip and To Zip. |
| Service | Moving, Long Distance, Loading Help, Unloading Help, Packing Day, Moving & Storage. |
| Status | Booked, New, Follow-Up, Cancelled… |
| Movers, Trucks | How many. |
| Cubic Feet (or Weight) | The size of the move. |
| Rate | Your hourly rate, if agreed. |
| Start Time, End Time | The arrival window, for example 08:00 AM. |
| Notes | Anything else — it goes into the order's sales notes. |
Save it as .csv or .xlsx and import it on Settings › Sales & orders › Import orders — see Import your orders from a file. The Validate Data step tells you exactly which cells need fixing.
Or enter them by hand
For a few dozen jobs, typing them in is quick and checks every price as you go. Use Add new to make each order — see Create a new order. It's a good way for your team to learn the order window.
Inventories
- Customers can list their own items room by room from a link — see Send the inventory link.
- An item list you already have in a spreadsheet can be imported into a room of the order's inventory: one row per item, with a Name (or Item) column and a quantity.
Paper bills of lading
Your crew fills in the bill of lading on the phone and the customer signs on the screen; the signed PDF is kept on the order. Set the words of your bill in Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Bill of lading, from your paper form. See Submit the bill of lading.
Customers and calendars
There's no separate customer list to import: each order carries its customer, and MoveBoard spots a returning customer by their email, or by the same phone number and last name. The Dispatch board and the calendar replace the whiteboard from the first booked job.
