Ask Ed for numbers

Ask Ed in plain words — "how much did we make this month?" — and get the answer from the same figures as your reports, within your permissions.

Ed, your assistant, can answer questions about your numbers. Open Ed from the top bar (or press ⌘J on a Mac, Ctrl+J on Windows) and ask in plain words.

What you can ask

  • Money: "How much did we make this month?", "Booked versus collected last week", "Payments by card this month".
  • Sales: "How many leads came in today?", "Bookings by salesperson this month", "What's in the pipeline?"
  • Moves and crews: "How many moves tomorrow?", "Who's free on Friday?"
  • Storage: "Who owes storage?", "Move-outs this week".
  • Claims: "How many open claims do we have?"
  • Your own: "My bookings this week", "My commission this month".

Ed answers from the same figures as the reports, and often links to the report or the orders behind the answer.

Ed follows your permissions

Ed only tells you what your screens would show you. Money answers need the same permissions as their reports — for example revenue needs the Reports menu and Can see Income Report, payments need Can see Payments Collected Report, storage needs Can see storage tab, commission needs Can see the payroll tab. When something is off-limits, Ed says so plainly ("You don't have permission to see revenue or income figures.") rather than guessing.

Numbers by text or email, every day

Ask Ed, for example, "Text me every day at 5 PM how many jobs I booked today". Ed shows when it goes, how, and what it reports; press Confirm. It goes to your own email and mobile number from your profile. To see or stop them, press the bell at the top of Ed's panel, or ask Ed ("stop my 5 PM bookings text").
