Property damage claims
Damage to the home or building is never priced by valuation — it always waits for the office, with the customer's repair cost or contractor's estimate.

A scratched floor, a dented door frame, a hole in the wall — damage to the home or building is not covered by valuation, so MoveBoard never works out an amount for it. The office always decides.
What the customer gives you
On their claim page they choose The home or building under What was damaged?, then:
- Where is the damage?
- What will the repair cost? — "Type the amount and/or add a contractor's estimate. Our claims team always looks at damage to the home before making an offer."
- a description and photos;
- or I'll send the estimate later — "No problem — you can send your claim now. We'll wait for the estimate; add it from this same link when you have it."
What happens next
- With an estimate still to come, the claim goes to Waiting on customer ("Waiting for the customer (a repair estimate to follow)"). The customer adds it from their link — or you can add it yourself.
- Otherwise the claim lands in New for review, even if your offers show right away. The item says "Property damage — the office will review it".
Your offer
When you send the offer, set an amount for the property damage like any other item — every item needs one, and $0 is fine. The customer then accepts and signs the settlement, and you pay it like any claim. See Pay a claim.
You can correct what the customer entered (click the item's row) — say why, and they see what changed.
