Claims
When the offer shows
Choose whether customers see their settlement offer the moment they send a claim, or only after the office reviews it — separately for each kind of protection.

What MoveBoard works out is an offer. You choose when the customer sees it.
Set it
Open Settings › Documents & bill of lading › Claims, card When the offer shows. There are two choices, one for each kind of protection:
- Released value (60¢ per pound per article, or your rate)
- Full Value Protection (repair estimate if given, else the amount claimed, less the deductible, up to the declared value)
For each, pick:
- Right away (customer sees and can sign) — the moment they send the claim, unless something needs a person.
- After the office reviews — every claim waits for you to look at it and send the offer.
Out of the box, released value shows Right away and Full Value Protection waits for the office.
What "unless something needs a person" means
Even with Right away, a claim goes to the office first when it has property damage, items the customer packed, a very valuable item, a missing weight, a late filing, or a protection MoveBoard can't price. See How MoveBoard works out what is owed. Any protection other than released value or Full Value Protection always waits for the office.
What happens right away
When the offer shows at once:
- The customer sees What you're entitled to, item by item, the moment they send the claim.
- The claim goes straight to Offer sent, and the history says MoveBoard worked out the settlement and showed the offer.
- They can accept and sign the settlement there, press Request a call from the company, or Decline (if you allow it).
With After the office reviews, the claim lands in New. You review it, set each item's amount and send the offer; the customer then gets an email and a text that their offer is ready.
Changing an offer
Amounts can be changed after an offer went out: sending again is a revised offer (Send a revised offer), until the customer signs.
