Google Ads reporting for movers: Your Google spend, next to your customers.

Google Advertising is a menu in MoveBoard with two tabs, Google Ads and Local Services. See what you spend, how your budget is pacing, which campaigns bring leads and what a lead really costs, then open the order behind each one. It only reads: MoveBoard changes nothing in your Google account.

What is Google Advertising in MoveBoard?

Google Advertising is MoveBoard's read-only view of a moving company's Google Ads and Local Services accounts. It shows spend, clicks, campaigns, budget pacing and leads next to the company's own customers, works out what a lead really costs from real orders, and opens the order behind each lead. MoveBoard changes nothing in the Google account.

What it fixes

Google Ads and Local Services, read for you.

  • Google says what a click cost; only your own orders say what a booked move cost.

True Cost / Lead divides the spend by your real leads in MoveBoard, the orders that came from a Google ad.

  • Local Services leads and Google Ads leads live in two Google accounts, and nobody adds them up the same way twice.

Two tabs, each with its own numbers, never added together, and each lead matched to your customer by phone number.

  • You find out in the middle of the month that the budget is gone.

Budget pacing shows the month so far against your campaigns' daily budgets, and where the month is heading.

How it works

Spend, leads and customers, screen by screen.

01 / Connect

Connect each account once, with Google.

Each tab connects on its own, so you can connect one and not the other. An administrator presses Connect Google Ads or Connect Local Services, signs in with Google and allows access; if the sign-in opens several accounts, pick the one to show. Each branch connects its own accounts, and the page shows the branch you are working in. Disconnect, under the title, stops showing that account.

  • Already sending booked moves to Google Ads from Settings? The Google Ads tab uses that connection
  • Read only: no campaigns, budgets, bids or leads are ever changed
  • Google's sign-in page may say the access can manage ads, because Google has no narrower permission to offer

MoveBoard reads the numbers and changes nothing in your Google account: no campaigns, budgets, bids or leads.

02 / The Google Ads tab

Spend, pacing, campaigns, and what a lead costs.

It opens on today; pick another date range, up to All time. The four cards show Spend, Clicks, Your Leads and True Cost / Lead, each against the same number of days before. Your Leads are real orders in MoveBoard with a recorded Google ad click, or a lead source named for Google Ads. Budget pacing, the Campaigns table and Locations by city sit under them.

  • Google's own conversion count is shown beside yours, in the Conv. column
  • The Campaigns table: status, budget, spend, clicks, CTR, cost per click, your leads and Google's conversions
  • Paused campaigns with no spend wait behind Show all

03 / The customers behind the leads

Press a lead, open the order.

Customers lists the orders behind Your Leads: name, order number, date, status, and the campaign where it is known. Press one to open the order. The campaign comes from Google's click report, or from the campaign name in the link the customer came from. Someone who called without a recorded click can't be matched, so phone leads from ads are not all on this list.

  • A person sees names and order numbers only for orders they may open
  • Your Leads still counts every order, so everyone sees the same cost per lead

04 / The Local Services tab

Every Local Services lead, charged or not.

The cards show Spend, Leads, Charged leads and Cost / charged lead, with budget pacing and a Daily spend & calls chart. The Leads table shows when each lead came, whether it was a call or a message, the contact, category, status, call length, whether you were charged and Google's credit state. A warning marks a call under 15 seconds, which means no real conversation took place.

  • When a lead's phone number matches an order, Contact shows the customer's name and order number
  • A day at $0 can be real: Google reports weekend charges under the following Monday
  • To ask Google for a credit, go to your Local Services account

Who sees it

The owner sees it, others by permission.

Administrators always see Google Advertising. Anyone else needs See Google Advertising, in the Main menu card of their Permissions tab. Without it the menu item is gone and the numbers can't be opened. Only an administrator connects or disconnects an account.

Ed, the AI assistant, answers "How much did we spend on Google this month?" for anyone with the same permission, with each account's figure on its own. MoveBoard keeps the numbers for 15 minutes so the page opens quickly, and Refresh reads Google again.

Questions

About Google Advertising.

Every screen has a step-by-step guide in the help center.

What does Google Advertising show?

Two tabs. Google Ads shows your spend, clicks, your leads and the true cost of a lead, budget pacing for the month, your campaigns, where the ads ran and the customers behind the leads. Local Services shows your spend, leads, charged leads, the cost of a charged lead and every lead with its call length and credit state.

Can MoveBoard change my campaigns or budgets?

No. Google Advertising is view only. MoveBoard reads the numbers and changes nothing in your Google account: no campaigns, budgets, bids or leads, and no credit requests. To change something, do it in Google.

What is True Cost / Lead?

Your spend divided by Your Leads. Your Leads are real orders in MoveBoard with a recorded Google ad click or a lead source named for Google Ads, so the cost reflects the customers you actually have, not only Google's own conversion count.

Are Google Ads and Local Services added together?

No. They are two separate Google accounts, and their numbers are never added together.

Can I see which customer a lead became?

Yes. On the Google Ads tab, Customers lists the orders behind your leads and opens the order when you press one. On Local Services, a lead whose phone number matches an order shows the customer's name and order number.

Who can see it?

Administrators always can. Anyone else needs See Google Advertising on their Permissions tab. Only an administrator can connect or disconnect an account, and each branch connects its own.

How fresh are the numbers?

MoveBoard keeps them for 15 minutes so the page opens quickly. Refresh reads Google again. Your orders and customers are always up to the minute.

Does Google Advertising cost extra?

No. It is included in every MoveBoard plan, with no add-on fee.
